Creates a new AfDalDecimal object.

This functions create an AfDalDecimal element from a string definition. Value value must use canonical representation used by AFDAL_DECIMAL_DOT_AS_DECIMAL_SEPARATOR or local AfDalDecimal representation. Valid examples are 100.2 10.3 34.2 and 10,3 34,2 (having selected the right local representation).

AfDalDecimal objects created with this function must be destroyed using afdal_decimal_free function.

Parameters:
value a string defining the decimal value
Returns:
an AfDalDecimal element or NULL in case of error.
