Vortex Library has been implemented keeping in mind security. It has a consistent and easy to use API which will allow you to write application protocols really fast. The API provided is really stable and any change that could happen is notified using a public change procedure notification (http://www.aspl.es/change/change-notification.txt).
Vortex Library is being run and tested regularly under GNU/Linux and Microsoft Windows platforms, but it is known to work in other platforms. Its development is also checked with a regression test to ensure proper function across releases.
The Vortex Library is intensively used by the Af-Arch project but as RFC implementation it can be used in a stand alone way apart from Af-Arch.
