04-09-2006: "First stable release available: 0.2.1"
This is the first "Stripes" stable release available. Check
full release note to get more details. This new release includes a
basic set of tools to build barcodes using the CODE39
format. You'll find more information at the release note.
Introduction
"Stripes" is a set of tools, developed by Advanced Software Production Line, to
produce barcodes, using a graphical tool, a command line and a library
(that could be used to integrate the "Stripes" engine inside
your application).
Some of its features are the following:
- Currently it supports: CODE39
- It can produce PNG (Portable network graphics), PDF (Document acrobat) y PS (Postscript).
- It allows several text configurations while producing barcodes: size, font, alternative text, or just disable it.
- It allows several graphical options: barcode rotation,
translucent background, border size and barcode height.
- It comes with a C library, a command line and a graphical user
interface (written in C#).
- It is Open Source code, using a triple license model: GPL,
comercial and Aspl Open Source Alliance. Check license section to know more about this issue.
